Most fish move by contracting paired sets of muscles on either side of the backbone alternately. These contractions form S-shaped curves that move down the body of the fish. As each curve reaches the back fin, backward force is created. This backward force, in conjunction with the fins, moves the fish forward. The fish's fins are used like an airplane's stabilizers. Fins also increase the surface area of the tail, allowing for an extra boost in speed.

Pytanie: what other topical fishes other than Livebearers give birth to fries instead of laying eggs?

Livebearer means to give birth to live fry.. If you want that, you have to get some type of livebearer.

Some species of Shark and Stingray also have livebirths. As do Seahorses. The Four-Eyed Fish (Anableps anableps) is a livebearer too. There are many fish out there that opt for this form of spawning.

some sharks give birth, and so are referred to as.... livebearers. but these are marine fish.

so basically, no other *tropical* fish cuz if they did they would fall under that label anw.
